JOURNEYMAN TRAINING:

THE SKELETON KEY OF THE MIND’S EYE

The following skills should be studied by any aspiring Tourist who wishes to prepare for the relatively easy process of entering a Journeyman Gate. By unfocusing and/or crossing your eyes, you allow a standard-issue stereogram to emerge from a 2-dimensional image of noise, to a 3-dimensional image of something that makes sense. Passing through the Journeyman Gate is just as easy, which you can practice below. Refocus your eyes so that the right and left images cross over in the middle, revealing depth to the image.

Photograph shows a portrait of composer Louis Moreau Gottschalk (1829-1968), standing on the left, with two other men.

FOCUSING DIMENSIONALLY

Using the same skills as you practiced above, cross your eyes with the image below to produce a 3-dimensional imageĀ  in your mind from a 2-dimensional picture. Focus below until you feel satisfied.

REFOCUSING DIMENSIONALLY

Using the same skills as you practiced above, the image seen above will invert repeatedly every five seconds. Practice refocusing until satisfied. Do not attempt if epileptic or otherwise prone to seizures.

ADVISORY
